On 3rd and 4th of December Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb hosted the kick-off meeting of the project “Pan-European soft skills curriculum for undergraduate veterinary education – SOFTVETS”. The purpose of the project is to create an ideal framework for the introduction of the “Soft skills” subjects (interpersonal skills, entrepreneurship, digital skills) in veterinary medicine curricula across Europe.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb is the coordinator of a project involving 7 EU partners, funded under the Erasmus + Program, Key Activities 2: Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Higher Education.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the partners from University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Vienna University of Economics and Business, University in Ljubljana, EAEVE, University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest an International Veterinary Students’ Association.
Purpose of this meeting was to set the project milestones and confirm the project roles, tasks, responsibilities, deadlines and budget. The collaboration and participation of all project partners was crucial throughout the meeting to develop a solid base of the project. By the end of the meeting, partners felt ownership of the project and responsibility to follow up on tasks and activities that needs to be done in order to continue with a successful project implementation.
